Jollylands 2012 - August 25th 2.30pm - 9pm

Jollylands is a family friendly mini festival run every year for charity on our farm (Jolllylands) in Kilternan D18. We're sure the electric picnic got the idea from us!  ;-) We have run Jollylands and other charity events in Jollylands with your help have raised over €95,000 for various charities including the Niall Mellon Township Trust, The Cottage Home, The sunshine home,  Bothar and Haven.

This year’s Charities

This year we are running Jollylands in aid of two important charities, The Multiple System Atrophy Trust and Focus Ireland.

Focus Ireland

Did you know that 1 in 7 people experiencing homelessness in Ireland is actually a child? Shocking but true statistics.
Focus Ireland is a registered charity that works to prevent people becoming, remaining or returning to homelessness.
Focus Ireland’s vision is that ‘everyone has a right to a place they can call home’ and the organisation works to make this vision a reality for thousands of people every year.

MSA Trust

Multiple system atrophy (MSA) is a rare and very cruel progressive neurological disorder that affects adult men and women.
Over 7-9 years the atrophy or degeneration of nerve cells in several (or multiple) areas of the brain causes loss of mental and physical functions.
Little is known about the cause of MSA and research and support for suffers of the condition is badly needed.

The event itself

For the adults: Great food & drinks, great social event and great music all for a really good cause! Music includes Superstar Jazz DJ (PMcP) & lots of live Live bands on the main stage as well as an acoustic tent once the main acts finish. For the kids: Tennis, Football, Frisbees, Toddler park, Teepies and tents, face painting, Swings, Slides, Bubble & snow machines!

Please Note:  While there is lots for the kids to do and enjoy it is important to underline that your children’s supervision is your responsibility at all times.
